Throughout the rest of the school day, Kyoko and Hikari don’t say a word to any of the guys. “C’mon Kyoko-chan. You know we were kidding,” Renji says, trying to get Kyoko to say something. (It’s his sixth try now). Kyoko turns her head away, ignoring him. Finally, the bell rings, ending class. Ren is still trying to get Kyoko to talk as Ryuu, Antonio, and Kyohei walk in. (Note: Ryuu, Antonio, and Kyohei are all one year older than Kyoko, Hikari, and Renji) “What, she still hasn’t said anything?” Ryuu asks. Ren just looks up and nods. “Haha. The next day, Kyoko goes to school, finally feeling like it’s a normal day because all of the rumors about her have calmed down. So, as she enters Houkousei campus, she is completely confused as to why she is suddenly swarmed by a bunch of girls, all asking her the same question. “Kyoko, Kyoko-chan! Is it true? Kyoko walks home, still furious about her encounter with such a rude guy. Suddenly, she realizes that she is walking in the same direction as this mysterious guy. She looks around, and tries to see if she can find him again. She looks to her left and sees him just turning the corner. She cautiously follows after him, now wondering where he could be going in such a homely neighborhood. (He didn’t seem to fit in with the area) She follows him for about three blocks when he stops in from of a house and goes in. The next morning Kyoko wakes up early, gets dressed, eats breakfast, and leaves the house for school before anyone wakes up, not wanting to risk them seeing her new look. So when Ryuu wakes up and comes yawning out to the kitchen, he asks where Kyoko is. “I don’t know. Apparently she already left. She was gone before I woke up,” onee-san said.
